Non-Permanent Service
Members who request electric service that is non-permanent in nature (ie: campsites, grain bins, summer home, etc.) shall be charged a fee based on the amount of the distribution charge for the account.
-
If the account is closed for up to twelve (12) months the member will be charged the minimum distribution for each month it is disconnected for the rate of the account. (i.e. $50 distribution charge x 11 months = $550 member would have to pay.)
-
If the account is closed for more than twelve (12) months the REMC reserves the right to decide if the distribution charge will be accessed at that time.
-
When the account is requested to be disconnected the REMC will determine if the lines will be removed to that location. If the lines are removed, when the member requests to have service re-established at that location, they will then have to follow the line extension policy (Policy 304 for Three Phase service or Policy 303 for Single-Phase service) at that time.
